Adapté du célèbre conte de H.C. Andersen. Il était une fois un roi qui ne vivait que pour son apparence. A chaque heure, un nouvel habit, une nouvelle tenue ! Ainsi il concentrait l’essentiel des dépenses de l’argent du royaume pour être à la mode et soigner son apparence.
Un jour, deux malicieux charlatans arrivent en ville. Découvrant la passion irrationnelle du roi pour les tenues en tout genre, ils lui proposent un habit extraordinaire qui possède, en plus de toute autre chose, la qualité d’être invisible pour toute personne idiote ou faisant mal son travail. Un tel habit permettrait au roi de repérer ses sujets intelligents, ses sujets sots et les bons travailleurs ! Grassement payés, les escrocs se mettent au travail…
Afin de vérifier le rendu final, se succèdent les hommes de confiance du roi, ses ministres, ses conseillers, qui viennent tour à tour voir les invisibles étoffes... Mais qui osera admettre que cet habit n’existe pas ? Un conte joyeux et espiègle pour toute la famille, qui révèle la leçon intemporelle de ne pas être aveuglé par l’envie de plaire.

In this show adapted from the famous tale by H.C. Andersen, a king obsessed with appearances falls into the trap of merry charlatans who promise him an incredible suit, invisible to fools.
Once upon a time, there was a king who lived only for his appearance. Every hour, a new suit, a new outfit! Thus, he spent most of the kingdom's money to stay fashionable and maintain his appearance.
One day, two mischievous charlatans arrive in town. Discovering the king's irrational passion for all kinds of outfits, they offer him an extraordinary suit that, among other things, has the quality of being invisible to any person who is foolish or doing their job poorly. Such a suit would allow the king to identify his intelligent subjects, his foolish subjects, and the good workers! Handsomely paid, the scammers set to work...
To check the final result, the king's trusted men, his ministers, and his advisors come one after another to see the invisible fabrics... But who will dare to admit that this suit doesn't exist?
